Five On Friday! Unusual Items Made with Chainmaille.

The invention of chainmaille is attributed to the Celts over 2000 years ago and was the armor of choice. Chainmaille armor quickly fell out of favor and use in the late medieval period, with the discovery and use of gunpowder. Today chainmaille is used by divers to help protect them from shark bites, as cut resistant gloves for butchers and woodworkers, and by re-enactors.

Chainmaille today is quite often found in the form of jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. Today I want to show you five of my favorite unusual items made from chainmaille.
